DIRECTIONS TO GATEWAY CENTRE, PIETERMARITZBURG
uSisi Designs are situated inside the Project Gateway Centre.
The Project Gateway Centre is the Old Pietermaritzburg Jail, situated on the corner of Burger and Pine Street. You need to look for high walls. The main entrance is in Burger Street.
The route indicated is not the only one, but the easiest for first-time visitors.
DRIVING SOUTH, FROM JOHANNESBURG TO PIETERMARITZBURG
From the N3, take the Church Street turn-off (Exit 81), towards the City. Turn left into Masukwana Street (East Street), then right into Jabu Ndlovu Street (Loop Street), a one way. You will cross a few intersections: with Retief, Boshoff, Chief Albert Luthuli (Commercial), Peter Kerchoff (Chapel) and West Street. After the West Street intersection, turn left into Pine Street. Gateway centre is on the corner of Burger and Pine Street. Project Gateway (The Old Prison) is on your left, proceed through the large archway. Park your car in the car park and walk down the hill, you will see the uSisi Designs (sign) on your right
DRIVING NORTH, FROM DURBAN TO PIETERMARITZBURG
From the N3, take the Alan Paton Ave (City Centre) off Ramp (Exit 76). Continue with Alan Paton Ave. As you continue down Alan Paton Ave, you will notice the following on your left: University of KwaZulu–Natal buildings, Scottsville Plaza shopping centre, and further down the Woodburn Shell Petrol station with restaurant. At the next traffic lights, with the high block of flats on your left, turn left into Alexandra Road. Cross the next traffic light intersection (with the South African Police) on your left), turn right at the next traffic lights, into College Road. Continue over the Duzi River and take the second street left into Burger Street (lined with big trees). Go across Pine Street and the entrance to Project Gateway (The Old Prison) is on your left, proceed through the large archway. Park your car in the car park and walk down the hill, you will see the uSisi Designs (sign) on your right.
